NATIONAL BEST PRACTICE FOR
PLUMBING INDUSTRY TRAINING
CLIENT: Construction & Property Services Industry Skills Council, Department of Education,
Employment and Workplace Relations
Identified and promoted national best practice delivery methods for plumbing teachers to support more effective implementation of the national Training Package. This project came at the invitation of the Construction and Property Services Industry Skills Council and the Gordon Institute of TAFE to provide a strategic, focussed response to industry-based vocational education and plumbing training implementation issues.
To this end, national forums were conducted in all States as well as New Zealand to uncover and highlight the current best practices in training within this industry. These best practices were detailed within the report and sent to every RTO delivering the training package throughout Australia and New Zealand. A CD of resources also accompanied the report.
